Volunteer with us

Proposed Museum Redevelopment

The University Museum of Zoology is to undergo a major redevelopment and over this period will be recruiting a number of volunteers to assist with conservation, collection care and many other exciting activities.

The Museum has an outstanding collection of four million specimens that inspire many international researchers, students and seventy five thousand visitors every year. From the Finback Whale to the smallest insect, the collections have to be packed, protected and moved in order for the Museum to renew its stores and galleries and open up its collections for all.

How to Volunteer

The Museum will post details of most volunteering roles via the link below. You can also find information about how to get involved with other University Museums if there are no opportunities with us!
