BioBlitz Cambridge 2012
BioBlitz Cambridge 2012 in Cambridge University Botanic Garden
June 22 and 23 2012
The Cambridge BioBlitz is over for another year. Despite the rain and wind on Friday afternoon, the sun came out on Saturday and the event was buzzing with people hunting for minibeasts, listening for birds, and counting wildflowers. Bring back the memories, or see what you missed with the Bluesci film by Alexandra Fragniere and Nick Crumpton of the BioBlitz:
The results are coming in. There are over 100 animals in our database so far, and more data is coming in from experts. Come back soon to find out some of the wildlife we found in the Botanic Garden, and for news of Cambridge BioBlitz 2013.

BioBlitz Cambridge 2011 counted hundreds of species in the Botanic Garden of the University of Cambridge, from badgers to bumblebees, woodpeckers to wildflowers. We’re back at the Botanic Garden again this summer to see what we can find. Come back soon for further details of this year’s event.
What is the BioBlitz?
Starting at 3pm on Friday June 22nd 2012, experts, volunteers and members of the public will be racing against time to count as many species of animals and plants as possible in the Cambridge University Botanic Garden. The Garden knows the 8000 species it has planted there, but there is a lot still to discover in these wonderful grounds near the centre of Cambridge.
